Everything you need to know about the consultation process

The process

The consultation process is much more comprehensive than an appointment with your GP.  It goes into more detail about aspects that you might not immediately recognise as relevant.  It's a deep, honest and confidential conversation

Before we meet

I will ask you to complete a questionnaire and to keep a 3-day food diary. There is no judgment here and it supports me in devising a targeted, and importantly, realistic plan for you.

What happens during the consultation?

During our time together in the 2 hour initial consultation, we will cover your medical history, family medical history, sleep, movement and the food you currently eat.

I will ask you to take some measurements; your waist and hip circumference and, if possible, your blood pressure.  If you have information on your weight and height then you may share this, but if you prefer not to, or do not know, that is fine.

The next steps

Once I have gathered all of the details I need to prepare a plan for you and I will spend about 2 hours pulling together all of the information that we have discussed and will draw up your own, unique nutrition and wellness plan.  This will be split into separate phases so that we can introduce one phase of the plan at a time to ensure that you have a chance to implement it fully.

Supporting you every step of the way

​We will meet again for your follow-up appointment at an interval dependant on the package that you select, this is either weekly or fortnightly, after your initial consultation.

Testing available; blood, saliva, stool and urine

Where necessary and applicable, I offer functional testing.  I can take samples for blood testing if this is something you select. If information from urine/saliva/stool testing could be helpful and inform the process we undertake together, I can advise on this.  The results from any testing further ensures I am able to focus the plan on your specific needs.
